UK MAINLAND DELIVERY

FREE UK DELIVERY parcels to UK mainland and Northern Ireland are usually delivered by myHermes 2-7 working days after dispatch. Orders placed by 1pm Monday - Friday are usually dispatched the same day (except bank holidays). Excludes Offshore Islands, Channel Islands or IOM - see below. 

Smaller items (such as scarves) may be sent via un-signed Royal Mail 2nd Class (2-5 working days). Larger orders may be upgraded to another courier for insurance purposes.

The free delivery timescale is not guaranteed so, if you have a fixed deadline, we recommend that you choose the Next Day delivery service (see below). MyHermes parcels may, but not always, be delivered over the weekend.

Your parcel's tracking journey will be regularly updated on the myHermes website and can be accessed using your tracking number and postcode. 

A signature will be required so please ensure that someone will be at the delivery address. MyHermes will make three delivery attempts before the parcel is returned to sender, in which case a re-delivery charge of £4.99 will be payable for re-delivery.

If your parcel has not arrived 10 working days after dispatch, please email us with your order number so we can trace your delivery for you.

ROYAL MAIL T48 (£4.99) parcels are sent via Royal Mail's tracked 2nd class service and usually delivered 2-3 working days after dispatch. Deliveries may be made Monday - Saturday. Orders placed by 1pm Monday - Friday are usually dispatched the same day (except bank holidays). Available to UK mainland, Highlands, Northern Ireland, Offshore Islands, Channel Islands and IOM (weight and size restrictions apply).

The timescale for Royal Mail is not guaranteed so, if you have a fixed deadline, we recommend that you choose the Next Day delivery service (see below). 

Your parcel's tracking journey will be regularly updated on the Royal Mail website and can be accessed using your tracking number and postcode. 

A signature will be required so please ensure that someone will be at the delivery address. Royal Mail will make one delivery attempt then ask you to arrange re-delivery or collection. If you do not do this within a reasonable time, the parcel will be returned to sender, in which case a re-delivery charge of £4.99 will be payable for re-delivery.

If your parcel has not arrived 7 working days after dispatch, please email us with your order number so we can trace your delivery for you.

NEXT DAY DELIVERY (£7.99) to UK mainland addresses via DPD.

Order cut-off times:

  • Orders placed before 1pm Monday to Friday will be dispatched the same day and delivered the next working day.
  • Orders placed after 1pm, at weekends or on bank holidays will be dispatched the following working day, and delivered the day after.
  • Working days are Monday - Friday. We cannot dispatch or deliver at weekends or on bank holidays.

You will be provided with a tracking number when your order is dispatched. Please monitor your emails and text messages as DPD will send you an estimated 1 hour delivery window (for guidance, not guaranteed) as well as information about how you can re-schedule your delivery.

Option for delivery to a nominated safe place or neighbour can be set up via your tracking number (at your own risk).

A signature will be required so please ensure that someone will be at the delivery address. If you are not available and do not arrange re-delivery / collection in a reasonable time, the courier will return your parcel to sender. A re-delivery charge of £7.99 will then apply.

Please note the Next Day Delivery service is usually reliable but delays can sometimes occur because of unforeseen circumstances, such as road closures, driver illness or poor weather. Timescales and delivery time slots are not guaranteed.

Delivery costs £4.99. Free delivery and Next Day delivery are not available to these locations:

If you order more than two folded blankets your parcel may be too heavy and additional delivery charges may be required. On any such occasion you will be contacted prior to dispatch and have the option to cancel your order for a full refund.  

Expected delivery is 3-7 working days from dispatch. However, please be aware that this is not a time-guaranteed service. 

We endeavour to dispatch orders received by 1pm the same working day. Orders received after noon, at weekends or bank holidays will be dispatched the following working day.

We will email you to confirm dispatch and provide you with a tracking number. A signature may be required.

Due to COVID and the Brexit transition, we have temporarily suspended sales to Europe until we can be confident that we can continue to offer our customers an excellent delivery service. We anticipate resuming in mid-March 2021. All orders already placed are on their way, but may experience delays.

Usual estimated delivery is 3 - 8 working days from dispatch [Covid 19 update: please expect delays to our usual delivery times. Deliveries are taking up to 5 weeks once reaching the US in some cases due to delays with USPS]. However, please be aware that this is not a time-guaranteed service. You will be provided with a tracking number.

Our delivery prices do not apply to any offshore islands or territories. Couriers may also refuse delivery to particular remote locations, so please contact us prior to ordering if you are concerned this may apply to your delivery address.

Orders containing goods worth less than $200 US will not usually incur import charges. However, please make your own enquiries locally as The British Blanket Company does not accept liability for any local customs charges, handling fees, duty or taxes whatsoever, or for any delays that may occur if a parcel is held.

We reserve the right to refuse delivery of particularly large or fragile items. On any such occasion you will be notified and issued a full refund.

The British Blanket Company currently only delivers to the destinations listed above. For updates on additional delivery destinations as we expand our business, please join our mailing list.
  • Please ensure someone will be at the delivery address to receive your parcel. Please do not leave instructions for parcels to be left in an alternative location (shed, garage, neighbour etc) as we do not accept liability if you do this and fail to receive your parcel.
  • Sorry, we cannot deliver to BFPO addresses or PO boxes.
  • During poor weather, industrial action or exceptional demand the stated dispatch and delivery timescales may not apply. We will do everything we can to get your parcel to you as soon as possible, but we do not offer refunds for delays.
  • The next day delivery service to UK Mainland addresses is usually reliable, but this time frame is not guaranteed. We do not take responsibility for courier delays, which can occasionally occur for unforeseen reasons.
  • The customer is responsible for providing a correct and complete delivery address at the checkout. Please type and check your delivery address carefully as we cannot be held responsible for losses or costs if the order does not arrive due to error or omission.
  • Carriers will make every effort to successfully deliver your parcel but, if they cannot obtain a signature, the address is incomplete / incorrect, or your parcel is not collected from the depot within a certain period, it may be returned to sender. A re-delivery charge will then apply.
  • We reserve the right to upgrade large or high value orders to a more premium delivery service for insurance purposes. Your shipping confirmation email will give you details of the shipping service that has been used.
  • The British Blanket Company works with an expert delivery warehouse and our team begin preparing your parcel for dispatch as soon as your order is received. This means we usually can't change or cancel an order once it has been placed. If you need to amend something please contact us immediately and we will help if we can, but if your order has already been processed changes cannot be made.
