The Clifton Herringbone blanket in Blanquette is subtle and classic. Crafted from pure wool for natural warmth, it feels lovely and thick yet lightweight. Proudly made in England, this blanket has our signature HeritEdge detailing and purled ivory tassels.
Designer's colour notes: A speckled light grey, created by blending undyed white and grey wool. Named after Thomas Blanquette, who reputedly invented the first blankets in Bristol around 1340.
- Hand Wash or Machine Wash: Use a specialist delicate wool cycle with cool water and minimal agitation and spin to avoid shrinking and felting. Do not use a standard cold wash.
- Drying: Line dry ensuring even weight distribution. Do not wring or tumble dry.
- Pilling: Fluffy wool blankets can shed at first and develop small pills (bobbles) in areas of friction. Remove gently by hand or with a wool comb.
- Suitability: Our wool blankets are not recommended as protective chair / sofa covers as friction leads to premature wear and pilling.
