We are thrilled to announce that The British Blanket Company has been crowned Family Business of the Year for the South West at the 2019 Natwest Great British Entrepreneur of the Year Awards! There were more than 3,000 applications and stiff competition from brilliant brands shortlisted in our category, so we were over the moon to come away with the trophy and a place in the national final.
The awards ceremony took place in Exeter last week and we had the chance to get to know the finalists in all the categories, which was really inspiring. It can sometimes be a little isolating running a small business, and the awards have been a great opportunity for us to connect with fellow entrepreneurs, throw around some new ideas and celebrate what we have achieved.
We were lucky enough to be shortlisted in the Small Business of the Year category as well, and came away with the runner-up spot in that one too!
We'd like to say a huge thank you to all the customers who have supported us on our journey since we launched The British Blanket Company in 2015. Your enthusiasm for supporting British-made textiles and your passion for the quality of our blankets really does mean the world to us both.
