What to put in a Mother's Day hamper

What to put in a Mother's Day hamper

Spoil your mum with UK made gifts this Mother’s Day

Mothering Sunday is just around the corner and we thought we’d share one of our favourite gift ideas that any mum in your life will enjoy: A Mother’s Day hamper! What we love most about creating a hamper is it can be personalised to suit your recipient's interests and loves. We’ve put together a list of hamper ideas featuring just a few of our favourite British brands that are sure to be hit with mum.

Mother’s Day Food Hamper

In our family, our love language is food. We always make sure to include a few food items in any hamper we put together as a gift. If you know your mum would love a basket full of treats and snacks,  why not make it all about food?

Breakfast Hamper in Bed

Breakfast in bed with our Signature wool blanket

Breakfast in bed is always a good idea, especially with our Ink Blue wool blanket to snuggle under.

Treat the mum in your life to a breakfast hamper in bed. You could include lovely tea from Nuditea, a small company based in the UK that creates small-batch blends of high quality, ethical and sustainable whole leaf tea and fresh pastries from her favourite local bakery. To truly make it special, you could gift her a book to enjoy in bed, snuggled under one of our XL blankets whilst you finish breakfast downstairs.

For the mum who loves the outdoors

Mother's Day Hamper DIY Picnic

Enjoy a picnic no matter the season with our Cedar Green and Mustard Herringbone to keep you warm.

For the mum who would rather be outside than in bed, a picnic hamper is perfect. Surprise her with one of our waterproof and colourful picnic blankets along with a cheese hamper from The Newt. It’s a delicious platter that’s been curated to feature the finest Somerset cheeses from their farm and other local businesses in the West Country.

Would you rather put it together yourself? Head to your local deli to make a DIY picnic hamper. Choose 1-2 of her favourite cheeses to include along with crackers and bread. Some other food items to include in your Mother’s Day hamper could be fruit, a bottle of bubbly, and brownies from Cutter & Squirt a family-run bakery in London that ships nationwide! Don’t forget to pack cutlery and napkins (check out Etsy for some fun napkins made here in the UK).

A Unique Mother’s Day Hamper

A hamper doesn’t have to be full of “new” things. It can be full of memories and sentimental items presented in a different way. Keep reading to find out you can put together a meaningful hamper without spending a fortune.

A Memory Hamper

Mother's Day Journal DIY

If you’re trying to hold off on buying anything this Mother’s Day why not put together a hamper with your favourite photographs of mum? If photographs aren’t her thing, why not write down some of your favourite memories that include her? You could also add any lessons she has taught you over the years.

If there is a new mum in your life, and if you are a mum yourself,  you could collect together your thoughts on how being a mother has left you in awe. Sometimes, it's the small gestures that are the best gifts!

If you’re looking for more inspiration on what to gift mum this year, our merino lambswool blankets are super soft to touch and will last a lifetime.
