STANDARD DELIVERY - ROYAL MAIL T48 parcels are sent via Royal Mail's tracked 2nd class service and usually delivered 2-5 working days after dispatch.

Standard delivery is FREE on orders over £80. UK delivery on orders under £80 is charged at £3.99.

Strike action is causing delays in the parcels being scanned into the Royal Mail system. Please be aware, that although we are getting orders to Royal Mail on time, they may appear in the tracking as having not reached them yet due to the delay in scanning.

Deliveries may be made Monday - Saturday. Orders placed by 1pm Monday - Friday are usually dispatched the same day (except bank holidays).

Available to UK mainland, Highlands, Northern Ireland, Offshore Islands, Channel Islands and IOM (weight and size restrictions apply so larger orders may be split into several parcels, which might arrive separately).

The timescale for Royal Mail is not guaranteed so, if you have a fixed deadline, we recommend that you choose the Next Day delivery service (see below). 

Your parcel's tracking journey will be regularly updated on the Royal Mail website and can be accessed using your tracking number and postcode. 

Please ensure that someone will be at the delivery address. Royal Mail will make one delivery attempt then ask you to arrange re-delivery or collection. If you do not do this within a reasonable time, the parcel will be returned to sender, in which case a re-delivery charge of £4.99 will be payable.

If your parcel has not arrived 7 working days after dispatch, please email us with your order number so we can trace your delivery for you.

EXPRESS DELIVERY (£7.99) to UK mainland addresses via DPD.

Order cut-off times:

  • Orders placed before 1pm Monday to Friday will be dispatched the same day and delivered the next working day.
  • Orders placed after 1pm, at weekends or on bank holidays will be dispatched the following working day, and delivered the day after.
  • Working days are Monday - Friday. We cannot dispatch or deliver at weekends or on bank holidays.
  • Not available to Northern Ireland, Highlands, Offshore Islands, Channel Islands and IOM

You will be provided with a tracking number when your order is dispatched. Please monitor your emails and text messages as DPD will send you an estimated 1 hour delivery window (for guidance, not guaranteed) as well as information about how you can re-schedule your delivery.

Option for delivery to a nominated safe place or neighbour can be set up via your tracking number (at your own risk).

A signature will be required so please ensure that someone will be at the delivery address. If you are not available and do not arrange re-delivery / collection in a reasonable time, the courier will return your parcel to sender. A re-delivery charge of £7.99 will then apply.

Please note the Next Day Delivery service is usually reliable but delays can sometimes occur because of unforeseen circumstances, such as road closures, driver illness or poor weather. Timescales and delivery time slots are not guaranteed.

We endeavour to offer our standard delivery to all UK addresses including highlands and UK offshore islands, but please allow extra time for standard delivery, which may be made via tracked Royal Mail. Next Day delivery is not available to the following locations:

HS1-9, IV40-51, IV55-56, KA27-28, KW15-17, PA20, PA41-49, PA60-78, PH42-44, ZE1-3 (Scottish Islands), TR21-TR25 (Isles of Scilly), PO30-PO41 (Isle of Wight), GY & JE (Channel Islands), IM (Isle of Man).

If you order more than two folded blankets your order may be split into several parcels, which might arrive separately. We reserve the right to adjust the delivery method from that stated at the checkout to offer the most efficient service to your location.

Expected delivery is 3-7 working days from dispatch. However, please be aware that this is not a time-guaranteed service. 

We endeavour to dispatch orders received by 1pm the same working day. Orders received after noon, at weekends or bank holidays will be dispatched the following working day.

We will email you to confirm dispatch and provide you with a tracking number. A signature may be required.

Channel Islands VAT info: all of our pricing is inclusive of taxes and VAT will not be charged on orders delivered to Jersey or Guernsey. Please note that we don't offer a refund or deduction for customers in the Channel Islands. This enables us to subsidise the higher cost of delivery to the Channel Islands while continuing to offer customers the same delivery prices as mainland UK. 

 

 

International Delivery

Delivery to the USA costs $19.99 for orders with a product value up to $199.99 and is free of charge for orders with a value of over $200.

Your items will be sent from the UK by FedEx P2P which is a fully tracked service. International deliveries are dispatched next working day (Monday - Friday). Usual estimated delivery is 7 - 10 working days from dispatch. However, please be aware that this is not a time-guaranteed service.

Regrettably, we cannot deliver to: Alaska, Guam, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands (US), Global Military Bases or PO Boxes. Couriers may also refuse delivery to particularly remote locations. Contact us prior to ordering if you are concerned this may apply to your delivery address.

Orders containing goods worth less than $800 US will not usually incur import charges. However, please make your own enquiries locally as The British Blanket Company does not accept liability for any local customs charges, admin or handling fees, duty or taxes whatsoever, or for any delays that may occur if a parcel is held.

We reserve the right to refuse dispatch of large orders or certain items. On any such occasion you will be notified and issued a full refund. Customers are solely responsible for providing a complete and correct delivery address at the checkout.

If your parcel cannot be delivered or is returned to sender, outward and return shipping costs will be deducted from any refund made.

Due to COVID and the Brexit transition, we have temporarily suspended sales to Europe. Continuing uncertainty surrounding duty and VAT, means that we are still not confident that it is possible to offer the seamless delivery experience that want for our customers. Rest assured, we are monitoring the situation closely and are committed to supplying our European customers as quickly as possible. 

The impact of COVID and the cost of living crisis has had a huge impact on international delivery. We are unable to keep pace with the regular increases in courier charges. As a result, we cannot be confident that it is possible to offer the seamless delivery experience that want for our customers. We will endeavour to seek a solution to offer our products to our international customers, thank you for bearing with us.

 

 

Terms & Conditions
  • Please ensure someone will be at the delivery address to receive your parcel. Please do not leave instructions for parcels to be left in an alternative location (shed, garage, neighbour etc) as we do not accept liability if you do this and fail to receive your parcel.
  • Sorry, we cannot deliver to BFPO addresses or PO boxes.
  • During poor weather, industrial action or exceptional demand the stated dispatch and delivery timescales may not apply. We will do everything we can to get your parcel to you as soon as possible, but we do not offer refunds for delays.
  • The next day delivery service to UK Mainland addresses is usually reliable, but this time frame is not guaranteed. We do not take responsibility for courier delays, which can occasionally occur for unforeseen reasons.
  • The customer is responsible for providing a correct and complete delivery address at the checkout. Please type and check your delivery address carefully as we do not provide refunds for losses or costs if the order does not arrive due to customer error or omission.
  • Carriers will make every effort to successfully deliver your parcel but, if they cannot obtain a signature, the address is incomplete / incorrect, or your parcel is not collected from the depot within a certain period, it may be returned to sender. A re-delivery charge will then apply.
  • We reserve the right to upgrade large or high value orders to a more premium delivery service for insurance purposes. Your shipping confirmation email will give you details of the shipping service that has been used.
  • The British Blanket Company works with an expert delivery warehouse and our team begin preparing your parcel for dispatch as soon as your order is received. This means we usually can't change or cancel an order once it has been placed. If you need to amend something please contact us immediately and we will help if we can, but if your order has already been processed changes cannot be made.
