UK Delivery

Standard Delivery - Royal Mail T48: Parcels are sent via Royal Mail's tracked 2nd class service* and usually delivered 2-5 working days after dispatch.

Orders placed by 1pm Monday - Friday are usually dispatched the same day (except bank holidays). Your parcel's tracking journey will be regularly updated on the Royal Mail website and can be accessed using your tracking number and postcode.

We recommend that you do not request delivery to a safeplace or neighbour.

If your parcel has not arrived 7 working days after dispatch, please email us with your order number so we can trace your delivery for you.

* Heavier orders may be ship with DHL.

Express Delivery - DHL: Parcels to UK mainland addresses are delivered by DHL. Delivery is usually 1-2 working days after dispatch.

DHL will email you with information about your delivery with an estimated delivery window and redelivery options. We recommend that you do not request delivery to a safeplace or neighbour.

If your parcel has not arrived 2 working days after dispatch please email us with your order number so we can trace your delivery for you. .

Returns to sender: The customer is responsible for providing a correct and complete delivery address, and ensuring someone is at the address to receive the parcel. If delivery cannot be made the parcel will be returned to sender and redelivery charges apply.

We can deliver to the Highlands, UK Offshore Islands, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, but only with standard Royal Mail 2nd Class Delivery. Express Delivery is not available to the following postcodes :

HS1-9, IV40-51, IV55-56, KA27-28, KW15-17, PA20, PA41-49, PA60-80, PH42-44, ZE1-3 (Scottish Islands), TR21-TR25 (Isles of Scilly), PO30-PO41 (Isle of Wight), GY & JE (Channel Islands), IM (Isle of Man).

If you order more than two folded blankets your order may be split into several parcels and might arrive separately. The delivery method may vary from that stated at the checkout to offer the most efficient service to remote locations.

Expected delivery is 3-7 working days from dispatch. However, please be aware that this is not a time-guaranteed service. 

We endeavour to dispatch orders received by 1pm the same working day. Orders received after noon, at weekends or bank holidays will be dispatched the following working day.

We will email you to confirm dispatch and provide you with a tracking number. A signature may be required.

Channel Islands VAT info: all of our pricing is inclusive of taxes and VAT will not be charged on orders delivered to Jersey or Guernsey. Please note that we don't offer a refund or deduction for customers in the Channel Islands. This enables us to subsidise the higher cost of delivery to the Channel Islands while continuing to offer customers the same delivery prices as mainland UK.

USA Customs Duties / Tariffs

We love serving our US customers and thank you for your understanding while tariff changes are clarified and implemented.

This is the situation to the best of our knowledge (updated 1st September 2025):

• Duties will be charged at the checkout and orders shipped with a DDP (Delivered Duties Paid) service. This should ensure smooth transit through customs to your door.
• Duties will be shown at checkout within the shipping cost.
• A 10% tariff will apply to UK made goods thereafter. All our pure wool and Cloud Cotton blankets are made in the UK.
• Our alpaca blankets and our merino lambswool blankets, scarves and baby blankets are made in the Republic of Ireland and may be subject to the EU goods tariff rate of 15%.
• Tariffs and any associated administration fees are payable by the customer. The British Blanket Company does not accept liability for any additional charges or delays.
• Tariffs are applied based on the date the package arrives at US customs (not the date you placed the order) and apply to the full value of the order including delivery.
